Leslie Neilsen (1926 - 2010) RIP
Shame most people will remember him just for his Frank Drebben character (he was a genius at the deadpan expression, it is true) - this image is a publicity shot for Forbidden Planet, back when he was a ‘serious’ actor.
* also gone this last week - Irvin Kirshner (director, Empire Strikes Back) and Ingrid Pitt (Hammer scream-queen - do an image search and you’ll see they don’t make vampire films like that anymore).
