“Zero Dark Thirty on the other hand was something that rubs me the wrong way. The film probably had over an hour of transitional/establishing pseudo authentic looking street shots to build a false sense of tension and over dramatics while playing ethnic music cues every time there are scenes in the Middle East. There is some overacting going on here too, and for me absolutely no sense of tension to something I already know the outcome to, despite their best efforts with the music and editing. I found it to be a complete bore and was so annoyed by the tone of self importance that it was almost unbearable to sit through. I mean how many files do I have to watch her sift through and how many arguments with her superiors do we need to see. I might as well watch CSI or some bullshit like that.”
